The Dose Makes The Poison is a Basel-based septet founded by Mehmet Ali Simayli in May 2024. The band aims to establish a contemporary aesthetic in structured-improvised music by integrating elements from diverse fields. The title, derived from the works of the 15th-century alchemist Paracelsus, introduces questions from toxicology into the practice area of compositions and improvisations.

Oftentimes, it's a simple matter of creating higher Contrast in shadows to add depth and define natural features, creating smooth and seamless highlights by bumping up the Exposure, and using the White Balance tool to increase Temperature (this will offset the deep blue tones). The Dose Makes The Poison is a musical experimentation ground, formed in Basel in May 2024. The group exists in different formations in different concert-specific compositions and concepts. This time, in the domain of Spiegelungen Project, TDMTP presents a newly composed, half an hour piece which draws attention to instrument relations and sonic coherency in a seven-piece band. ‘music for vsco effects’ sets a pre-context, studying the junction of retro and trendy in the realm of the mentioned photo effect application whose reputation evolves in different subsocieties of youth with its own aesthetics in several years.
