deformation profile (at body temperature) is a slow-moving machine; a nine-minute and forty-five- second electro-acoustic 8-channel fixed media piece. all parts of it—growing from flute, guitar, percussion, and electronic sound synthesis—go through a turbulent meeting with their new profile: artificially generated temporalities shaped by AI-generated glimpses of djent-like riffs and fragmented drum fills. this encounter makes it harder for the machine to act the way it’s used to. the new profile deforms both the material and the soul of its entity, where performance expectations no longer align with its condition, potential, or strength.
The piece was selected to the curation of ‘I’m all ears’ project in Gare Du Nord Basel on June, 2025 from the open call.
